I print original miniature paintings on canvas and then convert them into canvas earrings.
My miniature paintings are done in oil paint, watercolor and gouache and then I make two copies on canvas. The canvas copies are then glued with a water soluble, waterproof, wood glue, to create a fun, funky, double-sided design, and then varnished with a water-soluble water-proof varnish.
Some paintings are recreations of works by the old masters, like the famous The Scream painting by Edvard Munch and also van Gogh’s Starry Starry Night. The other designs are of bees, bugs, butterflies, mushrooms, Africa and many more. I’m still coming up with more ideas as I discuss them with potential customers. The designs could be applied to various sizes and are not always paired with the same design (sometimes it will be a pair of butterflies and clovers, sometimes the same butterflies and mandalas)
